Purpose

To install solar panels on the Pump Room roof
using Renewable Energy Development Fund SSB. It is calculated that
the roof can host approximately 72 pv panels providing a maximum
capacity rating of about 33kWp and generation about 30,000kwh per
annum.

Decision

To approve project set-up to the value of
£64,528 of Renewable Energy Development Fund (service
supported borrowing).

Alternative options considered

Only alternative is doing nothing. It will
help to decarbonise the estate and help to meet the B&NES
target of 12MW installed renewable capacity on its corporate estate
by 2030. It will help the improve the profitability of the Roman
Baths and Pump Room and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
