Purpose

To install solar panels on the Odd Down Sports
Ground pavilion roof using the Renewable Energy Development Fund
(Service Supported Borrowing). It is calculated that the roof can
host approximately 133 pv panels providing a maximum capacity
rating of about 62kWp and generation of about 55,800kwh per
annum.

Decision

To approve project set-up to the value of
£109,802 of Renewable Energy Development Fund (service
supported borrowing paid back by a Power Purchase Agreement).

Alternative options considered

Only alternative is doing nothing. It will
help to decarbonise the estate and help to meet the B&NES
target of 12MW installed renewable capacity on its corporate estate
by 2030. It will help reduce the operating costs of the day centre
and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
