Purpose

Replacing fossil-fuel powered operational
vehicles with electric is a key part of the Net Zero Council action
plan. This programme management will bring forward a comprehensive
plan and business case for the associated EV charging
infrastructure that will also be needed.

To fully approve the £75k allocation in
the capital programme

Alternative options considered

This programme needs to be brought forward in
2025/26 in order to link with the council financial planning
processes and the rolling fleet replacement programme.
