Purpose
On 14 May 2026, the Bath Neighbourhood Advisory Board convened to evaluate the recent proposals submitted by the Bath Preservation Trust regarding the projects they intend to fund for the second year.
In January 2024, a single member decision was made which included the allocation of £60,000 over a span of three years.
Last year (2025), £10,665 was disbursed, leaving a remaining balance of £49,335.
The Advisory Board were requested to review and approve which proposals submitted should move forward.
Decision
The Bath Neighbourhood CIL Advisory Board has approved a payment of £22,330 to the Bath Preservation Trust to fund the three agreed project applications.
The remaining balance following this allocation that can be used for future project submissions is £27,005.
Alternative options considered
The Advisory Board reached a consensus to allocate funding to three out of the four requests that were submitted.
(i) K6 Telephone Box Restoration
Bath CIL Allocation Agreed: £2,000
(ii) Holburne Museum Entrance Railings
Bath CIL Allocation Agreed: £9,050
(iii) Street Sign Restoration
Bath CIL Allocation Agreed: £11,280
The Advisory Board was unable to agree on the funding allocation for the Streetlamp Restoration for the lamps at Sydney Buildings. This may be resubmitted once further requested information is available.
