Purpose

The land comprises of 0.197 hectares of sloping, lightly wooded unmanaged and semi managed land

Decision

The Cabinet Member agrees to delegate to the Head of Corporate

Estate (Corporate Landlord) authority to Instruct the Corporate Estate

to undertake a marketing and disposal of the land and achieve Best

Consideration as set out under the Local Government Act 1972 -

Section 123.

Reasons for the decision

The land is surplus to the requirements of B&NES

Alternative options considered

To retain the land under the ownership of the Council. This goes against the principal duty of the Council under the Local Government Act 1999.

The land is not an Asset of Community Value, but discussions have been held with the Parish Council with regards a sale and they will be given an opportunity to submit an offer as part of the marketing along with other interested parties.
