Purpose

Deliver new LED flood lights on the tennis
courts at Writhlington Sports Centre and upgrade the worn out
playing surface.

Decision

To fully approve £55k of capital budget,
fully funded by CIL. It should be noted the overall project is
expected to cost £90k and balance of the budget will be
funded directly by Dragonfly Leisure at £10k and Lawn Tennis
Club at £25k.

Alternative options considered

Do nothing - Without lights the site could not
provide activities for the community. Project will result in more
activity and low carbon emissions. The current playing surface is
not fit for purpose and has deteriorated so has become
unsafe.
