Purpose

It has become apparent that some clarification
is needed regarding Constitutional rule 3.1.37 so that there is no
misunderstanding.

The Monitoring Officer has the power to make minor inconsequential
changes to the Constitution (rule 1.13) and has exercised this in
making a small amendment.

This does not constitute a change to process; it is simply
including the option of an electronic vote which will be visible to
those attending/watching in the same way that a show of hands is
visible.

Decision

Rule 3.1.37 to be re-worded as below;

"The Chair shall ensure that that the proposal to be voted on is
clear. Voting will proceed by a show of hands or by means of an
electronic voting system – first those voting
“for” the proposal, those voting “against”
the proposal, and then the abstentions.”

Alternative options considered

Option 1 - Not to correct, potential for
misunderstanding.
Option 2 -
Option 3 -
