Purpose

Various changes were necessary to keep the Constitution current. Legislative changes require an amendment. Other minor amendments pick up omissions that were not picked up from the old Constitution, or clarifications needed to make processes clearer.

The changes are minor and fall within the delegated authority of the Monitoring Officer. They will be reported for noting to the May 2024 Council meeting.

Amendments have been made in the following areas;

Health scrutiny legislation
Committee reports to Council
Arrangements for postponing/cancelling meetings
Councillors speaking at Council
Electronic voting
Scrutiny agenda items
