Purpose

Purpose:
Somer Valley Enterprise Zone (SVEZ) is a planned new area for commercial development on the western edge of Midsomer Norton. This decision is to increase the approved funding for the project due to additional work prior to submission of the Local Development Order to the Local Planning Authority which has extended the time being spent on the programme and it caps the funding up to completion of the Outline Business Case +.

To fully approve capital amounting to £311k from the provisional capital programme for the Somer Valley Enterprise Zone and to be funded from WECA grant.

Alternative options considered

There is no alternative option to completing the work required for submission of the Local Development Order.
