Decision

Description of Decision

(1)  That the references from the Budget & Corporate Services Overview & Scrutiny Committee, Full Council and the Environment and Sustainable Communities Overview & Scrutiny Committee be noted.

(2)  That the decision made at the meeting on 15 July 2026 regarding the Mayes Yard Development Agreement that was subject  

to the call in by the Budget & Corporate Services Overview & Scrutiny Committee on 3 September 2026 be reconsidered.

(3)  That the updates outlined in the report of the Interim Service Director Environment and the positive, strengthened engagement with bus operators, enabling continued collaborative working and providing a more robust foundation for delivering a bus network that meets the needs of Bedford Borough residents be noted.

(4)  That the reallocating of grant funding to commission a package of contracted bus services, subject to the services being financially affordable within the available funding envelope, be agreed.
