About

The Belfast Licensing Committee is responsible for policy and legislation concerning various licensing matters within the city. It has delegated authority to determine applications and make decisions on entertainment licences, sex establishment licences, amusement permits, lottery registrations, street trading licences, and liquor licensing for registered clubs and licensed premises.

The committee also handles licensing for pavement cafes and houses in multiple occupation, including considering objections, variations, and revocations. While it has full delegated authority for licensing decisions, it can reconsider matters referred by the Director of Planning and Place.
