RESOLVED

 

(1)  
That the updated business case review be noted and that the
Director of Environment and Resident Services be authorised to
proceed with the development of the new Household Waste Recycling
Centre via the Council’s procurement process.

 

(2)  
That a scheme be added to the capital programme with a budget of
£7.7 million be approved in principle and that the decision
to proceed be subject to the final tender price being within the
approved budget.
 

(3)  
That subject to the recommendation (2) above, the appropriate
adjustments be made to the Council’s revenue budget to
reflect both the operational costs and income arising from this
project.

 

(4)  
That the Director of Environment and Resident Services be granted
delegated authority in consultation with the Executive Member for
Environment and Communities to incorporate the minor design and
operation improvements recommended to maximise efficiency and
recycling rates.
