Purpose

Conflict resolution is a structured approach to addressing disagreement in a constructive way. It focuses on understanding the root causes of conflict, enabling safe and respectful dialogue, and supporting those involved to agree solutions that preserve relationships and reduce stress.
When working with families, this includes supporting parents and carers to manage differences around parenting, education or care plans, helping children and young people express their views safely, preventing escalation, and enabling families to develop their own co-parenting plans and clear communication pathways for the future.

Decision

To approve the commissioning of a Conflict Resolution Service delivered through Blackburn with Darwen Family Hubs, funded by the Best Start in Life Delivery Grant, for the period up to 31 March 2029.
