Purpose

Delegated authority was granted to the Director of Public Health by the Executive Board in April 2025 to award the final contracts for a community bereavement service, on completion of a procurement process.
This report outlines the outcome of that process and recommends that a service for children, young people & families is awarded and that a service for adults is not awarded at this time.

Decision

• To award Lot 1 – Community Bereavement Support Service For Children, Young People And Families to the provider Lancashire Mind to commence delivery on July 1st 2026 until 30th June 2029, with option to extend until June 2031.

• Not to award Lot 2 at this time (Community Bereavement Support Service for Adults).
