Purpose

This report provides information on the management and performance of the Local Authority’s fostering and kinship service. This report is six monthly. This report, alongside Appendix 1, provides analysis of the period 1st of October 2025, until the 31st of March 2026. The report reflects upon data and service development over this period and recommendations for the next period.

Decision

RESOLVED:

1)    That the fostering and kinship six monthly report for quarters 3 and 4 of 2025/26 be noted.

2)    That the strengths and challenges set out in this report, and as attached as Appendix 1, be noted.

3)    That the priorities for the next reporting period, with particular focus on recruitment, retention, placement sufficiency, stability and quality assurance be supported.
