Approval of the appointment of Rosslee Construction, as main contractor for the works to the refurbishment scheme at Stansfeld Centre.

Decision

Decision made:

That the Executive Member approves the appointment of Rosslee Construction, as the main contractor for the works to the refurbishment scheme at Newfield School Satellite Site, Stansfeld Street, Blackburn.

Reasons for decision:

The Council has undertaken a robust procurement process in accordance with the Council’s Contract and Procurement Procedure Rules and complies with Public Contract Regulations 2023. The Contract will be a JCT intermediate building contract.

Other options considered and rejected:

Do nothing / do not proceed with the refurbishment, this was rejected because it would not address the need to provide suitable accommodation for the Newfield School satellite provision and could delay delivery of agreed education priorities.
