Purpose

A request has been
made by Blackpool Council Highways to temporarily close the
junction of Waterloo Road and Vicarage Lane to resurface the signal
junction and approaches to it. The extents of the closure is from
Angers Hill Road in a southerly direction on Vicarage Lane, Oxford
Square in an easterly direction and Pine Avenue in a westerly
direction on Waterloo Road. The road closure is required to
undertake essential maintenance works as part of the signal upgrade
works. The works are planned to be undertaken within a 5 day
timescale on evening shifts between 6.30pm-5.30am.
 

Decision

To authorise the Head of Legal to make an
appropriate notice under s14 (2) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 to give effect to the proposals and to give the required
notices.
