Purpose

A request has been made by Blackpool Council Highways for an evening closure of  Common Edge Road for two consecutive evenings between 7pm and 5am on the 30th April and 1st May 2025. The extents of the closure is from the Common Edge Road (B5261) junction with School Road to the Common Edge Road (B5261) junction with Division Lane West. The road closure is required to undertake essential carriageway repair works ahead of proposed Enterprise Zone development works.

Decision

To authorise the Head of Legal to (i) make an appropriate notice under s14 (2) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to give effect to the proposals and (ii) to give the required notices.
