Purpose

To consider the findings of the Fylde Coast Authorities Level 1 Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) 2024.

This document replaces the previous SFRA Level 1 update of December 2020 which

was then amended in May 2021. 

Decision

The Leader of the Council agreed the recommendations as outlined above namely:

1. That the attached Fylde Coast Authorities Level 1 SFRA 2024 (Appendix 1) is endorsed

and published as soon as is practical

1. That the attached Fylde Coast Authorities Level 1 SFRA 2024 (Appendix 1) is endorsed as evidence to inform the policy in the emerging new Blackpool Local Plan;
2. That the attached Fylde Coast Authorities Level 1 SFRA 2024 (Appendix 1) be a material planning consideration in the determination of planning applications.
3. That the attached Fylde Coast Authorities Level 1 SFRA is endorsed and used to inform council policy and actions on matters relating to flood risk and the coastline.
