Purpose
To seek approval for the purchase of the above property by the
Council through the combined funding routes of Local Authority
Housing Fund (LAHF), Domestic Abuse
Safe Accommodation funds and Housing Revenue Account
(HRA).
Decision
The Cabinet Member agreed the
recommendations as outlined above namely:
1.
To agree that the property on Hornby Road is
purchased by the Council through capital from Local Authority
Housing Fund and Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation funds, and
refurbished through Housing Revenue Account (HRA) funds for a
purchase price of £290,000. The
property, having been owned by a Housing Association, has grant
funding attached. To note that officers have confirmed that these
grant conditions will not transfer with the property and will be
“recycled” within the Housing Association
2.
To agree that the valuation attached at Appendix A
is not for publication by virtue of Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of
Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 as it would reveal
the location of the premises.
