Purpose

To seek support for Blackpool
Airport Properties Ltd (BAPL) and Blackpool Airport Operations Ltd
(BAOL) to enter into a co-operation agreement with the developers
of the Morgan and Morecambe offshore wind farms, in relation to
routing of  underground electicity
transmission cables through the airport estate .
 
 

Decision

To note and support the terms
of the draft Cooperation agreement set out in confidential Appendix
B.
 
To endorse that  the Directors of Blackpool Airport Properties Ltd
and Blackpool Airport Operations Ltd enter into the Cooperation
Agreement.
 
To endorse that the Directors
of Blackpool Airport Operations Ltd sign a letter of no objection
to be submitted to the ongoing DCO planning Inquiry in respect of
the proposed electricity transmission cables.
 
To authorise the Head of Legal
Services to complete any formal documentation  under hand or under seal ,in respect of the
cooperation agreement and all othe relevant agrements between the
Council and the Windfarm developers . That an update on the
windfarm project is provided at the next meeting of the Shareholder
Committee.
