Purpose
To note the current progress of
the Community Cohesion Fund (CCF) spend within the Community and
Volunteering sector.
To outline the process by which
the remaining Community Cohesion Fund will be allocated to align
with the outcomes of the fund.
Decision
The Cabinet Member agreed the
recommendations as outlined above namely:
1.
To note that the Community Cohesion Fund has
supported Grassroots Projects totaling
£101,737 as outlined in Appendix A, these were in line with
the original bid.
2.
To allocate £30,000 for Community Champion led
initiatives, submitted by Councillors.
3.
To approve the proposed process for submitting
applications from elected members through the coordination of
Member champions and for the Head of Corporate Delivery to assess
any applications against the broad criteria outlined in paragraph
6.1 and make appropriate
recommendations for approval which will be subject of a decision of
the Cabinet Member for Communities and Wellbeing.
4.
To note that £170,000 will be allocated to the
empowerment fund and that a further report will be brought forward
for approval.
