Decision

The Executive agreed the
recommendations as outlined above namely:

To
approve the project subject to planning permission for a new
facility within Carleton Cemetery, providing the necessary welfare
facilities for the grounds maintenance team and a secure building
for all tools, vehicles and Council owned equipment.

To
agree for the project to include a small pet crematorium within the
grounds of the proposed yard facility in order to provide services
for pet owners across the Fylde coast, for pets up to a maximum of
50kg.

To
approve the project to be funded by Prudential Borrowing of
£633,000 for both the yard and pet crematorium works, the
repayments for which would be met by the current budget for the
existing yard facility and income from the pet crematorium, as set
out in paragraph 8.1 of the report.
