Purpose

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £6,500 to each Ward Councillor covered for the financial year 2026/2027. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

Councillor Lynn Williams of Claremont ward has requested:

(i)                  £3500.00 as a ward councillor donation to Community and Environmental Services, towards the cost of a Rainbow Street Party.

(ii)                £2491.30 as a ward councillor donation to Claremont Park Community Centre, towards the cost of Claremont Gala.

Councillor Ivan Taylor of Claremont ward has requested:

(i)                  £3500.00 as a ward councillor donation to Community and Environmental Services, towards the cost of a Rainbow Street Party.

(ii)                £2491.30 as a ward councillor donation to Claremont Park Community Centre, towards the cost of Claremont Gala.

The Deputy Leader of the Council agreed the recommendation as outlined above namely:
