Purpose

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £6,500 to each Ward Councillor covered for the financial year 2026/2027. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

Councillor Matthew Thomas of Brunswick ward has requested:

(i)                  £197.00 as a ward councillor donation to Friends of Layton Rec, towards the cost of a children’s day event.

The Leader of the Council agreed the recommendation as outlined as outlined above:

The request is in accordance with the Ward Councillor Grant initiative.
