Purpose

To seek approval for the advertisement and implementation of a Permanent Traffic Regulation Order: THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL (VARIOUS ROADS) (CONSOLIDATION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS, ON STREET PARKING PLACES, RESIDENTS’ PARKING PLACES AND TAXI STANDS) (AMENDMENT No 11) ORDER 2025 (AMENDMENT No 11 ORDER).

Decision

To authorise the statutory consultation and advertisement of notice of the intention of the Council to make a Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to implement the following provisions on various roads throughout Blackpool as noted in the background information, the appendices and as summarised below:

·       No waiting at any time on various roads,

·       No loading / unloading at any time on High Street, Queen Street and Clifton Road

·       No loading / Unloading between 10:30am and 6:00pm on Victoria Steet

·       Loading bay 15 mins no return within 30 mins on High Street

·       Loading bay 30 mins no return with 60 mins on Queen Street

·       No stopping except taxis on Queen Street

·       Restricted parking zone on Deansgate

If no objections are received or if objections are received and subsequently withdrawn in respect of the proposals, to authorise the Head of Legal to make the Traffic Regulation Order.
