Purpose

To seek approval for officers to proceed with the statutory consultation and advertisement in respect of the proposed section 16A for the Ride the Lights event, as detailed within this report.

Decision

1. To authorise the statutory consultation of the section 16A, The Borough of Blackpool (Queens Promenade / The Promenade / New South Promenade) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Ride the Lights Order 2026
2. To authorise the Head of Legal Services to seal the order pursuant to Section 16A and subsequent to Secretary of State approval under Section 16B.
