Decision

The Executive agreed the recommendations as outlined above namely:

1. To approve the establishment of a 20-place SEND Specialist Base at St Mary's Catholic Academy.
2. To approve the capital works required to provide specialist accommodation and associated infrastructure for the Specialist Base.
3. To approve the use of Department for Education SEND Capital Grant funding allocated through Blackpool's SEND Reform Programme to support delivery of the project.
4. To delegate authority to the Director for Community and Environmental Services, after consultation with the Director of Children's Services and the Director of Finance, to procure and award contracts necessary for delivery of the scheme within approved funding limits
