Purpose

To seek formal approval to allocate up to £100,000 of Pride in Place Impact Fund capital funding to Little Marton Windmill: up to £70,000 for the manufacture of replacement sails, a windshaft and associated bearings; and up to £30,000 for targeted structural investigation and any essential repair of the mill cap, curb and tower head required before installation. The funding must be defrayed or contractually committed by 31 March 2027.

Decision

To agree that up to £100,000 from the Pride in Place Impact Fund be allocated to Little Marton Windmill, comprising up to £70,000 for the manufacture of replacement sails, a windshaft and associated bearings and up to £30,000 for targeted structural investigation and essential repairs to the cap, curb and tower head.
