Purpose
The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £7,000 to each Ward Councillor covered for the financial year 2023/2024. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.
Councillor Jim Hobson of Bloomfield Ward has requested:
(i) £150 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Red Rose Womens Group towards the Red Rose Women's group Easter Lunch at Ruskin Hotel.
(ii) £250 as a ward councillor funding donation to Memory Lane Cafe (Ibbison Court) towards the Memory Lane Club Easter Lunch at Ruskin Hotel.
(iii) £80 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco NW Environmental Services, towards the cost of supply and installation of ‘Good Grief Trust’ plaques for benches in Bloomfield Ward.
Councillor Mel Fenlon of Bloomfield Ward has requested:
(i) £150 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Red Rose Womens Group towards the Red Rose Women's group Easter Lunch at Ruskin Hotel.
(ii) £250 as a ward councillor funding donation to Memory Lane Cafe (Ibbison Court) towards the Memory Lane Club Easter Lunch at Ruskin Hotel.
Councillor Matthew Thomas of Brunswick Ward has requested:
(i) £80 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Boys and Girls Club towards Christmas activities for the children (retrospective application due to delay placing request).
Councillor Laura Marshall of Brunswick Ward has requested:
(i) £185.13 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Princes Trust towards a Community Paint Work Project.
Councillor Dave Flanagan of Greenlands ward has requested:
(i) £963 as a ward councillor funding donation to Illuminations towards the cost of a Christmas tree and lights for Greenlands Ward. Retrospective request due to being new to the process, so application submitted late.
(ii) £2,431.80 as a ward councillor funding donation to Groundworks, towards funding for a Senior Ecological Officer to work on the North Blackpool Pond Trail for 6 months over the course of one year.
(iii) £32.50 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco NW Environmental Services, towards the cost of supply and installation of ‘Good Grief Trust’ plaques for benches in Greenlands Ward.
Councillor Kim Critchley of Hawes Side Ward has requested:
(i) £40 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco NW Environmental Services, towards the cost of supply and installation of ‘Good Grief Trust’ plaques for benches in Hawes Side Ward.
Councillor Neal Brookes of Hawes Side Ward has requested:
(i) £40 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco NW Environmental Services, towards the cost of supply and installation of ‘Good Grief Trust’ plaques for benches in Hawes Side Ward.
Councillor Gerard Walsh of Squires Gate ward has requested:
(i) £50 as a ward councillor funding donation to Community and Environmental Services, towards a Park Ranger Early Year Service (pre-school woodwork sessions) at the Highfield Hub.
Councillor Mark Smith of Talbot ward has requested:
(i) £1,228.74 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco NW Environmental Services, towards funding of new alley gate between 48 and 50 Park Road, to prevent fly tipping and antisocial behaviour.
(ii) 824.45 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco NW Environmental Services, towards funding of new alley gate adjacent to 2 Westwell Grove (to gate an unadopted alley behind Clevedon Hotel on Charnley Rd).

Councillors Simon Cartmell of Waterloo Ward has requested:
(i) £1,500 as a ward councillor funding donation to Thames Primary Academy, towards a new safe playground area at the back of the school.
(ii) £100 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Friends of Solaris Park, towards prizes for children at an Easter Egg hunt at the Solaris Centre.
(iii) £50 as a ward councillor funding donation to Community and Environmental Services, towards a Park Ranger Early Year Service (pre-school woodwork sessions) at the Highfield Hub.
