Purpose

The proposed Parking Services fees and charges for 2024/25.

Decision

The Cabinet Member agreed the recommendations as outlined above namely:

1. To agree the schedule of on and off street parking tariffs for each parking area as set out within the attached schedule at Appendix A, subject to consultation, with effect from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.
2. To agree the schedule of the business and residential permit rates as set out within the attached schedule at Appendix A with effect from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025. These remain unchanged.
3. To note that the updated schedule at Appendix A includes the schedule of charges that will be introduced for the new multi-storey car park at Blackpool Central and the new surface car park at Dickson Road (alongside the Holiday Inn). These tariffs are aligned with the tariff structures in place at the existing surface car park at Central and at Talbot multi-storey.
4. To agree that the fees charged can be reduced from these rates, for specific events or fixed periods of time, on the published officer decision of the Director of Communications and Regeneration, following consultation with the relevant Cabinet Member.
5. To authorise the advertising of public notices in accordance with the requirements of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
