Purpose

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £7,000 to each Ward Councillor covered for the financial year 2023/2024. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

Councillor Julie Jones of Greenlands Ward has requested:

(i)£300 as a ward councillor funding donation to the 57th Scouts (Unity Academy) towards the cost of tents and camping equipment that the Scouts are purchasing.

(ii) £599.40 as a ward councillor funding donation to King Church, towards the cost of a defibrillator to be housed on the outer wall of the entrance to King Church.

Councillor Dave Flanagan of Greenlands Ward has requested:

£300 as a ward councillor funding donation to the 57th Scouts (Unity Academy) towards the cost of tents and camping equipment that the Scouts are purchasing.

Councillor Laura Marshall of Brunswick Ward has requested:

£30 as a ward councillor funding donation to St Thomas’ Church, towards the cost of a donkey at a community event to entertain children.

Councillor Julie Sloman of Norbreck Ward has requested:

£1,090 as a ward councillor funding donation to Norbreck School towards the cost of coach travel and a meal for 28 children, to enable them to attend the Barnardos Choral Competition final.

Councillor Jim Hobson of Bloomfield Ward has requested:

£200 as a ward councillor funding donation to Donna’s Dream House towards the cost of bulbs for the Snowdrop Trail 2024.

Councillor Mel Fenlon of Bloomfield Ward has requested:

£200 as a ward councillor funding donation to Donna’s Dream House towards the cost of bulbs for the Snowdrop Trail 2024.
