Purpose

To determine whether the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme income, which can be either a lump sum or a monthly payment, should be disregard in the calculation of a Discretionary Housing Payments (DHP). This is on the basis that Royal British Legion believes that this compensation should not be considered as income by any means test.

Decision

To approve the disregard of Armed Forces Compensation Scheme as income in the calculation of any Discretionary Housing Payments.
