Purpose

To confirm the outcome of the recent tender exercise undertaken for the provision of a Community Navigators Service for Blackpool 

The funding is provided through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) as a result of an Investment Plan submitted to the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) by 1st August 2022 under the terms of delegation agreed by the Executive at its meeting on 16th May (EX20/2022) and also the Executive of the 5th September 2022 (EX34/2022). The funding was approved on the 5th December 2022.

Decision

To approve the appointment of Blackpool Citizens Advice Bureau (in partnership with Volunteer Centre Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde) for the provision of these services.

To approve the Head of Legal Services to draw up a Grant Funding Agreement with the successful applicant.
