Purpose

To gain permission to accept
the Youth Investment Fund (YIF) grant and commence draw down of
£1,688,650 (£1,499,290 capital grant and £189,360
revenue grant), for the removal of the existing youth centre on
Victory Road within the Brunswick Ward, the development of a new
youth centre within the same location and delivery of enhanced
youth provision from the new building by Blackpool Boys & Girls
Club in line with the grant agreement. 
In addition, to agree in principle a formal lease agreement with
the Blackpool Boys & Girls Club to operate the new
facility.

To note the successful funding
bid.
 
To approve the grant agreement,
drawdown of funding and development of a new youth centre on
Victory Road.
 
To approve in principle a 25
year lease agreement with Blackpool Boys & Girls
Club.
 
To note that a full report on
the development will be brought to the Executive in the coming
months.
