Purpose
This is a
request to extend a contract with a supplier of equipment to source
and supply standard and specialist assistive equipment.
Due
to the contract value, this decision requires a dispensation from
Standing Orders and Cabinet Member approval. This contract is with Liveasy – with an
approximate contract value of £973,500 per year..
The
extension period requested for this contract is 12 months from 01
Sep 2024 – 31 August 2025 with the option to extend for a
further 12 months up to 31 Aug 2026 if required.
Decision
1.
To approve the direct
award as a dispensation from Contract Procedure Rules due to the
reasons noted in section 3.0.
2. To approve the
extension of the existing contract with Liveasy to supply standard and specialist assistive equipment for people
to remain independent at home (Adults and Pediatric) for a period of 12 months from 1
September 2024 – 31 August 2025
with the option to extend for a further 12 months up to 31 August
2026 as required.
