About
The Ethics & Standards Committee is responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct among Blaenau Gwent councillors and co-opted members. It assists them in observing the Members' Code of Conduct, advises the Council on its adoption or revision, and monitors its operation. The committee also provides or arranges training for councillors on conduct matters. Its role is advisory, focusing on upholding ethical standards within the council.
