About
The Grievances Committee is responsible for considering formal complaints made against the council's most senior officers: the Chief Executive, the Section 151 Officer (responsible for financial management), and the Monitoring Officer (responsible for ethical conduct).
This committee, composed of three councillors who are not members of other specific committees (Investigating and Disciplinary or Employment and Appeals), reviews these grievances. Councillors with a conflict of interest can appoint a substitute, provided they also meet the membership exclusion criteria.
