About
The Licensing & Gambling Acts Committee is a statutory body responsible for functions under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005. It considers and makes recommendations to the full Council on statements of licensing policy. The Committee also acts as a Sub-Committee to determine applications and reviews for licenses that cannot be handled by officers under delegated authority. Its decisions directly affect businesses and individuals seeking or holding licenses for activities regulated by these acts.
