About
The Local Growth Scrutiny Committee scrutinises council matters related to economic development, property, and strategic investment, advising the Executive on policies and service delivery. It monitors the Executive's decisions and the council's performance, making recommendations to improve service areas. The committee also considers requests for Councillor Calls for Action and reviews the council's Forward Plan of Key Decisions. Its specific responsibilities include economic and business development, property and estates management, high street development, strategic development, planning, enterprise, skills, and tourism. The committee may also examine finance, environment, transformation programmes, highways, and staffing for projects.
