About
The Education, Skills and Growth Overview and Scrutiny Panel examines and reviews the council's work in these areas. It conducts scrutiny reviews and policy development projects, preparing reports and recommendations based on evidence. The panel also monitors performance data, questions relevant executive members and officers, and can request reports on departmental topics. It has the power to scrutinise decisions and actions taken by the council, and to consider any matter affecting the borough or its residents and businesses. Issues arising from its scrutiny work can be referred to the Overview and Scrutiny Commission for potential reporting to the full Council.
