About

The Environment and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Panel examines the council's work and makes recommendations for improvement. It conducts reviews and policy development projects, scrutinises decisions and actions related to council functions, and monitors the performance of relevant departments. The panel questions executive portfolio holders and officers, and can request reports on specific topics. It considers matters affecting the borough, its residents, and businesses, and can refer significant issues to the Overview and Scrutiny Commission for reporting to the full Council.
