Decision

The Executive agreed in October 2021 that the
council would take the freehold transfer of the Bucklers Park
Community Hub, courts, car parking and associated landscaping
(excluding the SUDS and orchard) and go to the market to find an
operator to manage the facilities on a not for profit or charitable
basis for community use on a medium to long term lease. The
strategic procurement plan was approved by the Executive on 24th
May 2022.

Reasons for the decision

The contract award decision was delegated by
the Executive to the Chief Executive in consultation with the
Executive Member for Culture, Delivery and Public Protection when
the strategic procurement plan was approved. The procurement
process and evaluation of the tenders has been completed and this
decision awards the contract to the successful bidder.
