Reasons for the decision

To enable the Berkshire wide Step Up to Social
Work programme to be run 2026 - 2027.

Alternative options considered

Not to run the programme, however, this would
impact negatively on the initiative to employ newly qualified
social workers into the Berkshire authorities.
