Purpose

To consider the outcome of public consultation
on the Borough's fourth Local Transport Plan (LTP4) and seek a
recommendation to Council for its adoption.

Decision

RECOMMENDED to Council that:
 

i.      
The outcome of the LTP4 public consultation and proposed amendments
to the plan and its approach (Annex 1) are noted;
 

ii.    
The LTP4 policy document (Annex 2) is adopted as the
Council’s principal transport policy for the period
2025-2037.
 
 

Reasons for the decision

The Council could continue to rely on the
existing LTP3. This is not recommended as
the plan is now considered out of date as
national policy on climate change and
transport has progressed since the current
plan was adopted in 2011.
