Reasons for the decision

The letting will provide additional rental
income for the council and will reduce expenditure on property
costs from the vacant unit.

Alternative options considered

To reject the offer and continue marketing the
property and seek offers at a higher level. This was rejected as
this would incur further costs to the council with no potential
benefit as the letting is at a market value rent on acceptable
terms.
