supply and maintain bus shelters at nil cost to the council, in
return for the right to display and charge for advertising in the
shelters. The current contract is due to expire on 31 March
2026.
Decision
RESOLVED that the Cabinet Member for
Planning, Transport and Countryside
Notes the supporting information and tender
process set out within PART A of the Contract Ward Report
(attached); and approves the award of a new contract to Supplier B
for the provision of bus shelters from 1 April 2026 as set out in
CONFIDENTIAL PART B of the Contract Ward Report (attached).
Reasons for the decision

the contract. The Council believes the ongoing provision of bus
shelters plays a key role in maintaining and growing bus patronage
in the borough.

Council’s role regarding bus transport in the Borough.
Failure to award this contract would be contrary to the position

aims of the Bus Service Improvement Plan.
