Purpose

To approve the Bracknell Forest Council response to Sandhurst Town Council on the draft Sandhurst Neighbourhood Plan consultation (Regulation 14 Pre-submission consultation)

Decision

RESOLVED that the Council’s response to Sandhurst Town Council on its draft Neighbourhood Plan, as set out in Appendix A to the report, be approved.

Reasons for the decision

The reason for this recommendation is that the Council has a statutory duty2 to provide advice and assistance to qualifying bodies undertaking neighbourhood planning.

Alternative options considered

The alternative option is for the Council not to respond to the pre-submission consultation, but for reasons explained at paragraphs 5.5, 5.8, and 5.9 of the report, officers consider a response should be provided at this stage, in the spirit of cooperation and broad compliance with the Council’s statutory duty.
