Purpose

To consider the consultation results from the recent statutory consultation on the introduction of no waiting at any time restrictions on Chapman Drive, Binfield

Decision

RESOVLED That

·       the formal objections received during the statutory consultation process and the corresponding Officer comments are noted;

·       That the position regarding comments received from local Ward Members during the consultation process is noted;

·       that the Borough Solicitor be authorised to make the Traffic Regulation Order in relation to the revised proposals detailed on drawing number 5072/315A – Chapman Drive, Binfield – parking restriction proposals (Annex C).

Reasons for the decision

The proposals are intended to address road safety and obstruction issues arising from extensive unrestricted parking on Chapman Drive.

Alternative options considered

Not introducing the waiting restrictions would allow unrestricted parking to continue, together with the associated road safety and obstruction issues.
