Purpose
The report will update on the outcome of the latest Ofsted Monitoring Visit expected in July 2025.
Decision
Resolved –
(1) That Bradford Council, in collaboration with the Trust and partner agencies, is committed to improving the lives of children in care and care leavers. The recent report highlights both strengths and areas for development, reinforcing our shared ambition to ensure every child and young person receives the love, care and support they deserve. The collective approach reflects our commitment to nurturing the potential of every child in care and care leaver.
(2) That the contents of the Ofsted letter and the progress made be noted.
(3) That Bradford Council and partners continue to work with the DfE appointed Commissioner to support the work of the Trust and to ensure improvements continue at pace in line with the Children’s Social Care Improvement Plan. This will be overseen and reviewed through the Improvement Board and the Governance arrangements.
